Dr. Atul Kamath is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery in the Orthopaedic and Rheumatologic Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. He serves as Vice Chair for Quality and Safety, and as the Institute Clinical Innovation Lead. He is the Director of Hip Preservation in the Orthopaedic and Rheumatologic Institute. He specializes in open and arthroscopic treatment options for young adults with hip pain. He also performs a high volume of primary and revision hip and knee replacement, including robotic-assisted surgery.
Dr. Kamath completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School, residency at University of Pennsylvania, and fellowships in adult reconstruction (Mayo Clinic) and hip preservation (Muller
Foundation in Europe). He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers, routinely presents nationally and internationally, and is an expert in health-services research, emerging technologies, and the delivery of healthcare.
